Social Club Sponsors Fun New Event: Multicultural Dinner!
Where in the World Did SummerTrees Social Club Eat? The Multicultural Potluck brought a variety of ethnic dishes for everyone to enjoy. The serving table was filled with baked ziti and lasagna from Italy, German dishes such as wurst salad and potato salad, baklava and spanakopita from Greece, a Mediterranean salad, kolaczki cookies from Poland, noodles and cabbage from Czechoslovakia and shepherd’s pie from Britain. That is just a few of the tasty dishes that brought the world to SummerTrees and helped us celebrate our heritage. Everyone agreed it was an event that could be repeated next year.

Residents enjoy another Soup n Sandwich event!
The Social Club hosted another great Soup N Sandwich event on Friday, January 17. Over 40 participants showed up and enjoyed some great food and socializing. Many thanks to our fine soup cooks: Mary Jane Maira, Jean Ann Yocum, Eva Mavis and Ruth Eibel and sandwich creators Priscilla Covey and Ruth Eibel with serving assistance from Andrea Colasuonno.
Residents also enjoyed various choices of pie for desert and played a fun game of team crossword with a football theme!
